Poster Abstract Submission

RESEARCH OR TRANSLATION POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES​

We are doing things differently with the Eating Disorders Think Tank 2025. 

​

We want Think Tank participants to display and discuss their work as part of the event - and encourage abstract submissions for Think Tank 2025 to be submitted prior to the deadline of Monday 5 May. 

​

All abstracts will be considered for eligibility and you will receive your author notification within 14 days of submitting your abstract. The top 4 abstract submissions will be awarded an oral presentation in the Lightning Round sessions. The top 4 successful authors will also receive a complimentary registration to attend Think Tank 2025

SUBMISSION PROCESS

All presenting authors must be registered to attend the Think Tank (don't forget to Join the Network [which is free] for a 10% discount). Review the abstract submission guidelines below and prepare your poster abstract.

Submit your Poster abstract by Monday 5 May 2025. ​All submissions to address the criteria and format requirements below. Submissions are reviewed by the AEDRTC scientific committee and will be selected based on the criteria below.

IMPORTANT DATES

Submit your Poster abstract by Monday 5 May 2025..

All abstracts will be considered for eligibility and you will receive your author notification provided within 14 days of submission advising if your poster has been accepted or not. 

Presenting authors must be registered to attend the Think Tank 2025.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTING RESEARCH OR TRANSLATION POSTER PRESENTATIONS

  1. Poster content needs to be reporting research or translation-based work. 

  2. Poster addresses important research for eating disorders or a related area (with relevance to eating disorders articulated)

  3. Research students, early career researchers, lived experience researchers, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander researchers and clinical researchers are particularly encouraged to submit their poster abstract.

  4. Because this meeting is focused on cutting-edge research from within eating disorders field and from highly relevant areas within mental health, we are happy to accept posters that relate to work in progress, providing essential design features and, as available, preliminary results.

ABSTRACT FORMATTING:

TITLE: Type title in UPPER CASE letters.

AUTHORS: List all authors with the presenter first.

​

ORGANISE THE BODY OF THE ABSTRACT:

  1. Introduction

  2. Methods

  3. Results

  4. Conclusions.
    **Please note there is a limit of 250 words for the body of the abstract. Any abstract that exceeds this limit will not be considered.

FORMAT AND PROCEDURE OF POSTER SESSION:

Specific details will be provided at the time of notification of acceptance of the work for poster presentation.
